Who is iDiet for? Happy side-effects.

We are often asked: “Who is iDiet for?” It’s an important question.

Our program is designed for anyone looking to lose weight, and typically people who choose to join iDiet set a goal of between 15 and 30 pounds. Many join iDiet during a health scare — perhaps after a concerning lab result, or a doctor’s warning about high blood pressure, or high blood sugar, or cholesterol. Or they want to avoid or reduce lifelong medications. Others might be motivated by joint pain, a moment of self-reflection — or catching themself in a dressing-room mirror.

Those first 15-30 pounds may not necessarily be the ultimate goal, but it’s a goal many new iDieters think is achievable vs ideal.

The overarching concept here is that people decide to act because they want to solve a particular problem — either a medical problem, or an aesthetic problem. The goal they set is based on their belief, or lack of belief, in how much progress they will actually achieve. If you’ve ever failed at a diet before — and most people have — then it’s perfectly natural to doubt whether another one is worth it.

So, people may choose a goal of 15 to 30 pounds because they think that will be just enough to get them out of a medical danger zone. Ideally, they might want to lose more, but they don’t believe they can.

But here’s the great thing: once starting with iDiet, many realize they can achieve more than they had previously thought possible. Many of our members reach, and then surpass their initial goals, discovering newfound confidence and potential in the process.

iDiet isn’t really about numbers on a scale — although the numbers do change. It’s about transforming your health and your self-belief. As you see the pounds drop and your health improves, you can also see a change in how you view your capabilities and your potential. So, iDieters often lose that initial goal weight and then realize they could lose a little more, or a lot more. Then they do. Because they see how to do it and have real evidence that they can do it. This realization is truly transformational, and can carry over into other areas of life as well.

It’s great to improve your health, and to see better numbers. It’s even better when that change is reflected in new beliefs about yourself and what you can accomplish.
